We are open
Tuesday- Friday: 08h00- 16h00
Saturday: 08h00- 15h00
If you’d like to drop your dog off between 07h30-08h00, this can be arranged provided you let us know at least 12 hour in advance. However, grooming will only commence at 08h00.
This depends on which groom you want and the size of your dog!
A Jack Russel (small, short-hair dog) will take anywhere from 15- 30 minutes, depending on which groom you get.
A St Bernard (extra-large, short-haired dog with an undercoat) could take anywhere from 40- 90 minutes, depending on the groom you choose and thickness of the undercoat.
You can pop out to the shops, get a coffee at one of the coffee shops near-by or go home and wait. It’s up to you!
Yes! Pop in with your dog and we’d be happy to pamper them! If you’re worried- send me a Whatsapp and I’ll confirm! Don’t forget that we’re closed on Sundays and Mondays!
Definitely! If, for peace of mind, you prefer to book your appointments then feel free to whatsapp or call us to book a groom or book online on our “Make a booking” page
All our products are hypo-allergenic but if your dog is PARTICULARLY sensitive let us know and we’ll give them an extra extra gentle shampoo/conditioner
Teeth brushing is extra, but both our Full and Deluxe Groom include a hair trim/cut and nail clipping
The research on this is pretty conclusive- short-haired/double coat dogs should NOT be shaved down to the skin. It renders them incapable of regulating their body temperature effectively and often leads to over-heating (pretty count-intuitive, I know. But it’s science).
We shave long-haired dogs without double coats (Poodles, Yorkies, Shih Tsu, Schnauzer etc) with various cuts, such as the Teddy Bear or Summer cut, but the hair is different to that of dogs such as Labradors, Huskeys and German Shepards (for example).
We also do de-shedding- of both long and short-haired dogs. This is different from shaving in that we dont cut the hair but rather thin out the undercoat to reduce shedding.
We love a challenge- and we don’t judge! We know that dogs love to swim and roll in the mud- no matter how dirty they are we’ll have them sparkling in no time!
Good news! We don’t have cages! We have brick and mortar pens with picket fences, artificial grass and blankets (washed between dogs).
Dogs are far happier in this environment.
We also spend a lot of time with the dogs, talking to them and reassuring them with treats and kind words.
Our expert groomer has courses in behavioural therapy and regularly checks on the dogs to make sure they are happy.
The owner also can’t help herself when it comes to dogs so she will be cuddling and petting them every chance she gets.
We know dogs and are perfectly comfortable around them! And we know what dogs need to feel happy and content.
Our groomer is an expert in dog behaviour and won’t muzzle dogs unless she feels it is absolutely necessary- we like the dogs who visit us to be free and comfortable.
However, if the dog is extra nervous we may use one of our soft muzzles. They are made from soft fabric and are guarenteed not to hurt or cause discomfort to your dog.
In the event that the dog is highly distressed or hurting themselves trying to get out of the muzzle, we will cease the groom. Dogs are sensitive, sensient creatures and their safety and happiness is our number one priority
This depends on which groom you want to get done!
